CoPalCam game
The CoPalCam game is part of the Oil Palm Adaptive Landscapes (external page OPAL) project, which is trying to find alternatives to the current – often unsustainable – management of Oil Palm Landscapes.
The players get to take the roles of different actors in a small holder oil palm supply chain, set in Cameroon. The aim is to get a better understanding of how the stakeholders interact. Besides the research aim, the game is also of great educational value and has been used to raise awareness for palm oil related issues among students of the French Lycée in Zurich.
The game was developed in collaboration with real live palm oil stakeholders and has even been played in the government of Cameroon.
